The copy is part of the books belonging to the Muhammad al-Hukmi Library in the Saudi capital that were put on show in a special pavilion, according to Al Jazeera.
It has been callgraphed in the Najdi script, which has been common in the Arabian Peninsula.
The Quran manuscript contains part of the second chapter of the Holy Book, Surah Al-Baqarah.
On display at the pavilion were also other handwritten Qurans and manuscript copies of religious and historical books.
Al-Hukmi says he has been keen to read and collect books since elementary school years.
He says he established his library of rare books 16 years ago, and since then it has turned into a specialized library of books about the Arabian Peninsula.
